The point of departure for this course (Architecture 510C: Design Studio III, offered in Spring 2025 at the University of Arizona) is the broad category that the US Department of Energy defines as Advanced Building Construction [ABC]. This is a portfolio of approaches to driving innovation in the building industry. You will explore these in our first class. This video from a past Jump Into STEM competition provides a good overview of ABC.
